Re: Valve Cover

You need one specifically for the D17 because the oil dipstick is in a different location than all the other d-series motors.

Re: Valve Cover

I got a quote from a chrome shop to chrome out the valve cover for 120 bucks. I really wanna do it. I like chrome, in the engine bay, but not on wheels or inside the car.

Re: Valve Cover

I don't mean to hi-jack this thread but how do I get the valve cover off? I have an 01 lx. Do I need to remove that plastic shroud on the right hand side, is there something I am missing under there? Any help would greatly be appreciated, and again I don't mean to hijack this thread I just really need to get that cover off, thanks.

Re: Valve Cover

Nope I learned to keep it stock. Anything I added just added noise and no real performance gain. If you do plan on modding keep in mind it will mostly be for looks/sound don't expect any extra ponies. Just keep it clean and most people won't flame you.
