Re: has anyone shaved there wire cover?

Theres not much to the wire cover to begin with so shaving it wouldn't be good. It would be do-able but unless your really good with molding plastics and all that whatnot I wouldn't even attempt it.

Re: has anyone shaved there wire cover?

It can be done.

All you need to do is sand off the honda logo, replace the holes you make if any with bondo etc, and sand some more. Then paint etc, or finish with clear coat. I think a flat black matte color would look ok with the logo shaved off.

Re: has anyone shaved there wire cover?

Its not hard at all, it just takes time. i did it because mine got scratched up pretty bad, so I shaved the honda off and painted it. I used a big sanding drum for the big stuff then used a file to flatten it out, then a sanding block to get it nice and smooth, and then skimmed it with some glazing putty. Voila no more honda. A little filler primer and some spray paint and your good to go. I stuck my civic badge that I shaved off the back on top of it.

Re: has anyone shaved there wire cover?

I think it'd be sicker to just rework the wire harness so that they come from the fornt side, to the top of the valve cover is clean and free of wires- and go custom on the valve cover
