2002 Civic Radio removal

I plan on installing an iPod connector in my 2002 Honda Civic. I would like to have instructions on how to remove the radio. Pictures would be helpful. I appreciate anyone who can help

That was a classic first response though. Subtle ownag3 is the best. Anyways, don't hate the new guy. Have fun and try not to scratch the hell out of your radio/climate control area getting it out.

Re: 2002 Civic Radio removal

Just a tip... Once you get the bottom portion off (you'll see what I'm talking about), reach up in there and push the central console out from the inside until you can get a finger under it. That way you won't mar it up with scratches. After you take out the two hex-head screws, you'll see what I'm talking about. Sorry I don't have pictures.

Re: 2002 Civic Radio removal

I was able to pop the vents out then reach inside there to pull out. And yes getting to the two bolts is a major PITA. I actually forgot to put them back in (!) and I ended up just stashing them in the spare tire well.
