cool air intake problem

I installed an cool air intake in my 2006 honda civic coupe 1.8 lx but my check engine light is on,and the car is working fine anybody know what the problem could be?

check and see if you left air intake temp sensor unplugged or something else unplugged

then you need to scan it to see what the code is and go from there

it has nothing to do with forced induction but i need some info to solving this problem am having, if you aint have nothing positive to say towards helping the situation just keep out.

you prolly ran the car without the temp sensor in and decided to plug it in incorrectly ... just restart your car's ecu by pulling the fuse for a few seconds and then turn it on, if the check light is still there, get your car to a scanner and check for what codes that it is throwing

try unplug the battery for 15 sec and then put it back that works for me ........or if its still there like the others said check out a machanic and have them check it out for you with there scanner and good luck......

Def try the battery disconnect first. It worked for me when i forgot to plug in an o2 sensor.

^^ btw this might be important......when you unplug ur battery your going to have to reset your radio....with the 5 digit code located on the back of your radio

^^^ i just made a thread about this

its not on the back of the radio, its a sticker in the car somewhere, or you have to take the SERIAL number from the back of the radio and VIN and give it to a dealership so they can get u the code
