Re: chattering noise under hood. HELP
You can go a little while, but it is going to get worse. It is definitely the input shaft bearing. Find a cheap shop in your area, or some local members on here willing to help you out. I have done a few of them myself, and it isnt necessarily hard, just meticulous in taking the tranny apart, and time consuming. The bearing is about $20, but the labor is going to empty your wallet if a shop does it.

Re: chattering noise under hood. HELP
what sucks is that i just put a new engine in my car, the other day by myself. I have to take the engine back out to fix this., is the part that sucks. I dont have a lift to take out just the tranny. i got a new clutch kit and everything. o well back to the garage.
