i have a 00 si has anybody used the universal o2 sensors? if so do they work? also does anybody know how to check an o2 sensor to see if it is bad?

don't buy a universal 02 sensor. The your going to spend soldering isn't worth the money you save. Just buy one with a harness already. No real way to check if a o2 is bad since its just a metal thermeter. Only way is if your car is throwing a code or if your getting really bad gas mileage.

it should work with the b16's too but i would double check before you buy.

i've used a couple of them, they work just as good as stock, but you have to be careful soldering, but its not hard to do. in fact i'm running one right now. and i've cut and shortened mine when i did my wire tuck.

universal is not that hard to wire up. i just changed mine in less than 30 minutes. it is definitely worth the money saved. $273 from honda or $75 from checker with an extra 30 minutes of wiring....take your pick

I have ngk spark plugs and o2 sensors. I haven't had any problems. They have pretty good reviews on hondatech and team integra

i think they are refering to the primary o2 sensor, the mechanical o2 sim only works on the secondary sensor
