I just attempted to paint some trim pieces black using DupliColor Vinyl and Cloth paint. It said on the can perfect for dashboard and trim. That paint sprays out uneven and doesnt dry the same color in all spots. I attempted to paint the piece 3 times after stripping it down and re-sanding. From now on I will definitely stick with Krylon Fusion.
I had the same problem but realized why. I was spraying when it was cold out so it made the paint dry all fvcked up. Dunno how the weather is up there but that was my issue. I also used Duplicolor but it wasn't the vinyl and cloth kind. My 2 cents
hmmm it was in the low 60s so could be
pixs?
i dont have any pics cause i ended up just using some left over semi gloss engine enamel I had. I will be moving to AZ in a month! Cant wait
Vinyl dye? that sounds messy. How does it work?

No i just never had a problem with the paint, and if you want it to look good, take some flat black and gloss black and do a light coat of each over one another, along with sand with about 2000 grit so it has something to stick to. Spray about 8-10 inches away. and it works.Originally Posted by sniperscout

I will try that technique some time though
