Re: info on my 93 del sol si

I'm pretty sure your car has a 1.6L d16z6. There were also del sols with a b16a3. I highly doubt it has a ZC though. I think those were only in CRXs and older JDM civic si's and JDM tegs.

It shouldnt be hard to tell what you've got. Just looking at it should determine if it's DOHC or SOHC, and your engine code should be stamped on the front of your block.

sorry to revive a 3 year old thread but i'm new here and mainly been searching and browsing info on del sol's.. and for others like me i'd think they'd want correct information. that being said..

the 93 s comes with a D15B7 which is non vtec
the 93 si comes with a D16Z6 which is vtec

so if indeed dats the stock motor then its a D16Z6 which is already vtec.. and to answer his question, the motor for a 95 civic si is a B16A2 which is the same motor they put in the 96 del sol si vtec
