Re: Suede Interior [Pictures Inside]
The epoxy I previously had on my door was letting go on the drive through the USA but I left it thinking I'll fix it some other time. That was until my roommate pulled the handle right off the door about 2 months ago. And last night I finally got to work.
Here's the door after pulling the old suede off of it and sanding it with 60 grit sandpaper, then wiping the plastic shavings off.

Here's the old suede cutout laid on top of the new suede fabric. You can just use the old black piece, same thing. Make sure you lay the suede fabric down with the back facing you so your marker tracings will all be on the back of the fabric, not on the front. And make sure you have the template laid the right way, the first time I did it I ended up with 2 pieces for the same side.

Sprayed the back of the suede with glue, pressed it onto the door, and poked the edges into the cracks with a flathead screwdriver. Remember to cut out the suede larger than the piece that came off. It'll give you excess for placement and you can just hide the excess.

Hope Depot (Canada) carries this stuff which is perfect. I couldn't find it anywhere else, not even Home Depot USA. I had to get my dad to buy it and mail it to me, nobody carried it. But this is what it looks like on the shelf if you go looking for it.

And oddly enough, the actual product is on the back, it's a 2 stage epoxy in a plastic casing.

Mix the resin with the hardener at a 1:1 ratio with the stick and spread it onto the parts you want to stick together. In this case where the handle meets the door since you had to cut the plastic rivets in order to get it apart. Stupid Honda.

And that's it, it's sitting in the parking lot right now. I'm hoping it stays stuck this time and sets correctly. It looked like the shape of the plastic was pulling it away from the door though.
