according to that DIY you need about 80 bucks of parts to remove the power steering pump/assembly for some odd reason i dont know why, i thought this would be a free mod. in any case how can you remove the power steering assembly for free? i am trying to open up room in the engine bay for more charge piping route options. thanks for any help.

The cheapest route would be to buy caps that plug the inlet and outlet holes at the rack. The assembly is used to help relieve some of the pressure in the rack and make it easier to steer. With the lines capped, you are pushing against the pressure in the rack to turn the wheels whereas with the breather the pressure is disbursed and not as hard to turn. Or something like that, it has been quite a while since I researched all of that.
There have been some members that have used just tubes with a T to a breather, but I have never heard back from any of them to see how it went.

i didnt read the diy to see how they did it, but i used a brake reservoir from a busa to hold my fuild, removed the power steering pump and all lines, and routed the rack to the reservoir. that way you can mount the new reservoir anywhere you choose. whatever you do, dont just cap the inlet and outlet on the rack. your rack wont last for ****. the fluid helps lubricate the rack and if you just cap it, youre f'ed. use a loop system or a new reservoir or something.

i dont really get most of what your saying. lol breather etc etc. maybe im just dumb. if i connect both the hoses together will that be fine or no? i been running without the PS belt for a very long time and it is already a work out for me to turn the steering wheel while in parking lots etc. i drove my friends eg without ps and it felt as if it had ps to me. wierd

Driving a car that came without PS is much easier to steer than a car that had PS that was removed. I miss my 90 DX without PS, it was the best! That's why I removed my PS.
Removing the belt means the pump is not providing the pressure needed to push the fluid in your rack and you have to turn harder to make the fluid move. If you just cap the lines, it will be that hard to steer, if not harder. If you install a breather, or reservoir, then you are removing fluid from the rack and only have to push air which is easier. The breather allows for the fluid to circulate and lube the seals. If you cap the lines and remove some fluid it might make it easier to steer (pushing air versus fluid) but the fluid is not guaranteed to circulate which means the seals may not get lubed and might cause problems later.

you need to pull the rack out of the car and convert it to manual steering. there are a few parts that need to come out that will make it easier to steer. once those part are out of the rack, you can connect the inlet and outlets together and make a loop system or add a new reservoir and route your lines to it. even though you have the belt off your ps pump, there is still fluid in the system keeping it lubricted. i dont know if any other civic racks will fit on the 7thgen, but i got an old civc manual rack for my integra to conver it to manual steering. maybe this weekend i can write a full diy on how i did it on my em2.
