One of my friends screwed up his gauge cluster on his 2k1 while trying to install some indiglo gauges. He brought it to the dealer and they replaced the gauge cluster(under warranty). When he got his car back, the odometer was at 0 and later on he found a sticker in the door jam next to the vin number that had the number of miles before the odo was reset. We have no idea how it happened though.
Maybe you should call the dealer and ask them how to reset your odometer!!
You might get some retard that'll actually tell you how!!!
Or you can do what my boy did and break your cluster. That way, after they replace it, you can just rip off the sticker in the door jam and voila! A reset odometer!
Or maybe you should just leave your odometer the hell alone!!!!
lol, j/k

Do it like I did it in my other Civic. Three plugs are behind the cluster. Choose the one that connect the odo. Find the wire that give "juice" to the odo. When you will find it, remove it from the plug. DON'T CUT IT!!! With something sharp, remove the wire an his metalic thin strip. Now put and other wire in the plug ( at the place of the other one). Don't forget to trim the end of this wire to make a good electrical contact in the cluster (when the plug will be replugged). Now put a simple switch between both wires. Put the switch under your dash. And here it is... Now you control your milleage!!!
When you will sell the car, nobody will see anything, even though they look behind the cluster. No wires have been cut!!! For sure, I hope you will instal the wire as original!!!! The bad news... when your odo is off, your speedo is off too... So you have to check your RPM to know your speed. Or put on the switch 2 sec. Hope it will help you!

Actually..there is a plus in the engine bay that you pull and it disconnects the sensor that takes care of shifting for auto's...it will still shift but if you floor it the rev limiter kicks in and it just sucks....also your tach stays in tact, the speedo, and gas gauge stop working. the gas gauge gives you an idea of how much gas you have but it bounces slowly up and down...also your check engine light comes on.
Just for the record I have not unplugged my odometer, but have spoken with someone who has. Plus it helps having an uncle that knows a lot about Honda's since he is a honda cert. tech....if he doesn;t know anything he has lots of people he can ask. And he was the one who told me what happens, and not to do it.
Also, just pulling the fuse doesn;t stop the counting of the milage...the milage is taken through a computer in the car, so while the gauge cluster may read one thing the other place where the milage is kept will read another, so just pulling a fuse wont do it....*cough*
and by illegal, it is a federal offence....big fines and jail time are included.

I thought the odometer info was stored in the computer and then displayed via the cluster?? I worked at this bodyshop a while back and they had a minivan all they did was run the car from a different computer then when the lease was up swap computers and voila the wrong reading. I've completely disconnected my cluster and when put back it to the same reading as before.
