thats the oil presure switch. it's so the ecu knows u have adiquit oil pressure for vtec to engage with. not sure if it will cause DTCs on out cars or not.

d17a1 wire harnesses dont have this plug of course since it doesnt have vtec. Many people have run this swap without using that so you should be fine.

Buds302 will become famous soon enough
yea thats what that is. the oil pressure sensor. once again since your car didnt have Vtec then you dont need to worry bout it. but i do believe if you use a OEM Vtec ECU then you have to wire up that plug. it lets the ECU know that theres enough oil pressure to engage Vtec. if using a Vtec controller then this plug is not needed. by Vtec controller i mean your VAFC II that you say you have

Just looked in the manual at it, its just the pressure switch for VTEC fluid as was previously stated, and looks like it can just be ignored. The test for jumping the solenoid itself is completely independent from the pressure switch, so bypass it/ignore it. Keep in mind that that switch is there for a reason, and be mindful of your oil pressure even though the computer isn't checking for you. IIRC if the engine is too cold, it won't engage, and without the switch, it will.... thick oil, little hole, probably not a good idea. Either use RPMs to engage it, or you can use e-manage and the greddy MAP sensor to control it with the map sensor voltage.

when i replaced my headgasket i ran the wrong wire to this and ****ed it up. if your oil light comes on do not drive it anywhere, that part is like $120.
