6 speed tranny in 5 speed 01 civic
will the 6 speed tranny with the k20 just swap over with no problems in the 7th gen civic which is a 5 speed...also if i buy a short throw for the civic can i use it with the 6 speed on the k20

Rep Power: 339 the STS, I believe the 6 speed is a different model # so you will need to get another is you have a 5 speed model for the CIvic.
The RSX base and Civic 5 speed should be the same, not 6 speed.

the transmission sits on the opposite side from ours

Rep Power: 339 Mm.. I realise that. I never mentioned anything about tranny mounting. I only mentioned the STS (short throw shifter) assembly. This was mainly based off of Revo's product #'s.
