Door panel removal on an HX with roll downs...

I have an HX and I do not have power windows...I have manual roll-down windows and was wondering if anyone else with manual roll-downs has removed their door panels (to install new 6.5's, or to dampen, etc.)???? Going by the instructions in the DIY section takes care of most of what keeps the door panel attached to the door, but I am thinking that I have to remove the roll-down handle or something (and if so, I'm not sure how to do that). Any intelligent advice would help. Thanks.

Sure...just like any door that has a window crank. The easiest way to do it is take like a shop rag and wedge it between the door panel and the back of the crank...then kind of like rub the rag up and down, back and forth. The idea is there is a small friction clip that holds the door handle in. You should be able to remove the clip with this rag. Just be sure not to lose it, because it may pop out and go flying. If this is kind of confusing, I will try and get some post some pictures of what I am talking about. I recently did this on a 01' sedan for a friend the other day. Hope this helps some.

Thank you so much for your help. I think I get the idea, but if it is not too much of an inconvenience, pics would be awesome. If you can't get pics, no problem......thanks again!!
