Head question

I'm not attempting this myself. I just want to know how much hp and torque can be expected on a N/A d17 with port and polished heads? How much does it cost on average? Is it worth doing or does it make much of a difference? I know that it allows more air and smoths out the airways entering and exiting the motor.

I think djmota put down some like 133whp N/A with a stage 2 cam and vafcII. Search for threads with stage2 cam in the title and you'll see what he did. I heard 140hp is possible but I don't think anyone has reached it yet.

For me this is alot cheaper than turbo and I know ill have this car for a long time. I think the car is fun to drive now so I think its worth striving for 140whp. This is my daily driver too so I'm in the same boat as you. Good luck w/e u decide to do. BTW I have i/h/e and just bought a stage 2 cam off nokturnl. I'll be tunning it with emanage and just have to buy the valves and retainers before install.

Unfortunately no that is a bit too much of a long drive. I should have taken vacation this week soo mad. TAke lots of pics though and post up after the event.

I'll try. Dezod just posted a thread in forced induction about our heads. Its some research they have been working on.
