2 Questions for anyone who has installed a Fujita F5 CAI (02 DX/LX A/T)
2 Questions for anyone who has installed a Fujita F5 CAI (02 DX/LX A/T)
I found it a little difficult to see what I was looking at in a couple of the fuzzy black and white thumbnail pictures on the included installation instructions so I'd just thought I'd ask for some advice. In the installation, i got as far as short ram and quit. (c'mon, it was after work...i were tard.)
1)Is there anyway around taking the bumper off to cut the necessary part of the fender (I'm concerned about keeping the body line tight).
2)Where would be the best place to relocate my battery ground wire? (pics are a +)
It's an 02 LX EM2 a/t
If any one has some advice I'd appreciate it.

If you give a website where the people here can see what are you installing then someone can help. I never heard about a "Fujita F5" CAI. And on other CAI, you just install them in the engine bay, no need to cut the fender or remove the bumper, but you have the instructions, I am not.
Another thing, do not cut where the battery ground is, it is part of the "chassis" and strut tower.

I thought about getting that a few weeks ago. Their marketing is great, and pretty convincing until you look at the dyno.
5 torque, 4 HP
oh well, that didnt answer ur question- and i dont think the other dude did either. Fujita is pretty new to the market=1year so not many ppl got em.
If it says cut, i'd cut- its a CAI- it has to be down behind the bumper- it aint a SRI. Good luck homie.

what a shame *kicks can*
I just don't see how it could be that small of an increase, maybe I should've just gone with Injen or AEM. Oh well, I'm gonna go take my bumper off and cut something.
nevermind i found it. ((sigh))

ive got a fujita cai but its on an 05 lx 5 speed. i didnt have to take the bumper off. i did take out the battery and battery tray. ill take some pics tomorrow if you still need them. you will have to trim the inner fender for it to fit. it goes under the battery, out the inner fender, and up behind the bumper behind the fog light hole. i just trimmed off a huge chunk of the inner fender and bolted the ****er down. let me know if you want some pics.
