Need a definative answer...
do you need to cut the pipe on an injen intake to use the AEM bypass, some threads say yes, some say no, but no one confirms the fact... could someone confirm it who's actually installed it on an injen CAI, and it works (preferably non cut if possible)... and yes, i've searched, that's how i found the indecision...
btw.. i just dropped my civic so trying to decide between just the splash guard, and the bypass valve...

from looking at mine i say yes, 'cause you'll be extending the length of your cai a little,,,if you dont i dont think the bracket will match up on the bottom near the filter, makes sense??? another thing dont wast your money on the bpv,, if you want get the splash guard, u really dont need that neither....
Well I hate to tell you but its an ongoing discussion. I have the AEM CAI with no BPV. It works just fine even in the worst of weather. Dont drive in a pond and you will be ok. As for the Injen I dont know anything about it. If you call AEM they will tell you that you cant use the BPV at all with the Injen and that you do have to cut the pipe to fit onto an AEM. My belief is that you can use it and either cutting or slipping it on should work. Its up to you, do it the right way and cut the pipe or take a chance on the easy way and slide it on. Should work but is it worth it if for some reason it dosent work when you need it? I have a friend that has the BPV located at the arrow in the pic below. This is my engine compartment not his so I demonstrated the BPV by the arrow pointing to where his is located. He has had no problems at all but you never know.
Good Luck,
Ozzy
