tranny swap?
well i asked this about a year ago b4 i got all the parts and i couldnt get a straight answer and i also searched and didnt get a straight answer
im trying to find out when i swap my auto tranny to a manual whether or not i need to have my ecu reflashed or buy a new ecu or what?? is there a way where i can just swap the tranny and maybe bypass the ecu or something?
im hoping some of the guys who have done this read it and help me out!

Rep Power: 0 To my knowledge you'll need to replace the ECU
the Ecu used on your car now is programed to shift your tranny
if you do your swap your check engine light may come on
it's better if you swap the ECU
if you have the vtec motor make sure your get the ECU from a Vtec w/ Manual tranny for your swap
personally I like doing things once, better safe than sorry.
