HID Shield Question

HID Shield Question
OK, this is for the HID experts out there. I made a shield to cover the bottom half of the bulb to block it from the high beam reflector. However, there is a really strong beam shooting straight out of the housing which is very bright. How do I block that? My shield is very reflective, should I paint it to reduce the glare, or perhaps add an extra shield to the front of the bulb? Thanks.

Rep Power: 0 The kit I have comes with a beam adapter and it looks like it is black. Maybe you should paint it black?
