Need Some Suggestions For Friends Tranny Problem

I am posting this for a friend of mine that recently screwed up his tranny by blasting nitrous on 1st gear. This guy sprayed like everyday. Anyway, his tranny gave out and he took it to a transmission shop here and they repaired his tranny for nice 1700.00 (haha). Anyhow, the tranny, according to the tranny shop, is ready to go, but everytime they put in some 10amp fuse from the ECU, the fuse blows. It blows quickly. The shop puts the fuse and the car turns on and shifts into gears and then quickly, the fuse blows. The tech finally told my friend that it could be the nitrous install doing it, but I don't think so. Anyhow, does anyone have any suggestions or need some more info to make an intelligent suggestion?

Thanks In Advance.

Well, all I know is that the tranny was fixed because of some gears being crushed up. The shop put it all together and now when they start it, a fuse blows. From what I can remember is that it's like a backup ECU fuse or something like that. The car still has the nitrous system installed. Let me know exactly what you need to know and I will call my friend or I'll probably just call the shop myself and find out for you, because from what I can see is that the people at the tranny shop have exhausted their attempts.

Thanks

You'll have to trace the wires until you find the short or someone may have tapped another line into the line that is blowing the fuse. If that is the case, you'll need to go with a higher amperage fuse. I don't recommend doing that, it's better to have separate fused lines with the proper fuse rating.

So that is as simple as it gets huh? Just trace the each line until you find it? Just try all of them?
