Ok i have a DX so no tach which is really annoying. So want i want to know is can i install the gauge cluster with tach from the same year cas as mine with out having to do anything with the wires? So like can i just plug it in? And what kind of car would i get it from and how much would it cost new? Thanks.

i was wondering the same thing but found one on ebay for cheap so just went for it and im pretty sure it should all work. I got a cluster from a 2002 ex (i have an 02 dx) and from what iv read on here it should just plug right in. Apparently going from an 01-02 to an 03-04 requires rewiring that i found in a thread on here, ill put the link if i find it again. Im a newbie so sorry if iv got something wrong... if i do then please let me know so i can get it right before i try putting my new cluster in
thanks

cluster

Clusters from 01-02 they don't look that great,I swapped mine I have a 03 DX with a 04 LX it looks great I swapped boricua-civic 04DX with a 04EX and it looks great too. the difference the 04-05 lights up EX=Red LX=blue
If you do this way you have to rewire the rewiring I found it not for a beginner but not impossible to do, search because there are many threads covering that issue, as for price go from 50-125 on ebay.
the milleage is stored on the cluster so if you swap the milleage shown is what came with the cluster.

Good Luck.

DX/VP (any year is all the same) can directly plug and play swap with any 01-02 lx or ex cluster. The new led style cluster from 03-05 lx/ex will NOT fit without rewiring the pins.
