insulation

anybody know how to take the sound insulation out from the car?? It weighs it down a lot and i don't really care for a quiet car. I mean sound from the engine and the road not the sound system.

just take out your seats and all your panels and remove any insulation you'll find. you car won't run 10s after this though

All the insulation on our civics weighs a whopping 4.8 lbs... Safe yourself the hassle dude..

Mohawk is right, the insulation is cotton, and 1 pound of cotton is alot of cotton, if you see where I am going with this.

No..his talking about the black sound deadening matt around the wheel wells under the seat.. around the trunk and firewall

waste of time if you ask me. i'm trying to put MORE insulation in, i like the quiet cars. anyone have any suggestions on how to get that carpet matting onto the firewall?
