Myths of the VAFCII

ok i have heard that on the 04-05 ecus, that whatever adjustments you do with the VAFCII, the ecu will override them later on. is this true or not? thanks alot.

I "hear" yes...

No one has ever "proved" it though... (dyno proven it)

my 02 has a vafc2! Never had any issues with reseting back to stock. (but the myth is about 04 & 05's)

well technically the 01-03 and 04-05 have the same ecu so i dont see why this so called STATEMENT would apply to only one or the other....truth is the 01-03 and 04-05 have the exact same motor and exact same configuration... so why would the ecu be any different???

oh.. and i know for a fact that the when u adjust the vafc2 and tune it.. it will still be the same down the road... based off my tests...

well after taking apart my 01 dx and taking apart the 04 dx...all the sensors and pistons and bolts were all the same... the only thing i couldnt tell if there were any difference was the lobes on the head and the stiffness of the springs... other than that they are pretty much the same...

ps: if i can find the pics of the 2 motors side by side i will post it and as i take it apart... did it last year sometime during spring
