Fuel Filter Question

Ive searched and searched, I cant find a damm thing here or anywhere else except for an ad that scares me

1) does anyone know when we need to change this filter? A website I saw said 30k but that seems too early.

2) can you confirm (the scary/crappy part) if in fact the filter is in the tank? I've had cars with multiple filters, but i didnt know if the hondas is in the tank.

thanks

As far as I know it's NOT in the tank (I'm pretty sure) & you can probably change it around 100,000 miles & be fine.

I'm not sure about the mileage. But I'm pretty sure the fuel filter is external.

The fuel filter is on the fuel pump, which is located inside the fuel tank. You can check out page 11-141 of the service bible. The filter should be changed when there is a drop of fuel pressure from the normal (40-47 PSI). Past that, there is no normal service requirement.

All of the fuel components are in the tank, the filter, the pump, and the regulator. That is why we have a returnless fuel system, and that is why it is much harder to get more fuel for more power.
