Gauges...

My friend has a '93 Civic DX and he wants to put some gauges that came out of a '93 EX in his car that has a tac. Can he do it? Do you have to wire it a certain way or is there a harness that simply connects the gauges to make it work. I remeber someone talking about it a couple of weeks ago, but I couldn't find it when I searched. Thanks guys

which gauges? the whole speedo/tach/fuel/temp assembly?

btw being a 2k1civic site, it'll probably be tougher getting info here than on the other honda websites

Yes I'm talking about the whole cluster. I looked around for other sites but I really didn't find any that would help.

no experience w/ the older civics... but wouldn't the dx be missing the wire leads for the tach? being it doesn't have a tach?

may have to get aftermarket wire harness and custom make it... lots of work, but might be well worth the trouble after you're all done
