RETARD ALERT! -- Before you buy Indiglo Gauges...

*** NOTICE: Some aftermarket accessory manufacturers are MORONS. Please purchase with caution. ***

FACT: The tachometer on our Civics differs depending on your transmission. Automatics have a PRND32 indicator to the right of the needle, and the 8000-RPM mark is at 2-o'clock. Manuals obviously do not have the PRND32 indicator, and their 8000-RPM mark is at 4-o'clock. However, some bonehead thought that he'd make some fancy-schmancy Indiglo gauges for both styles -- but ***** them up and screw unaware customers.

EVIDENCE #1: the AUTOMATIC gauges...

So far, so good -- there's nothing horribly wrong here (besides screwing up the locations of the tach and speedometer)...

...but here's where it all falls apart:
EVIDENCE #2: the MANUAL gauges...

OMG MY CIVIC IS SO FAST I CAN MAKE MY NEEDLE FLY WAY PAST 8000 RPM OMG I'M CHANGING MY NAME TO DOMINIC!!!1!

anyway, here's the moral: don't buy from "UnitedIndiglo" (as if the f*cking "we're so patriotic! god bless the usa!" red-white-and-blue colors and the word "united" didn't make you sick of these idiots already), and pay attention to what you're ordering. Word up.

some things are made better than others...but why buy indiglo gauges when the gauges the come with the car are perfectly fine.

If I wanted green or blue I would have bought a Ford or other car that came with them.

fyi: just to clarify, the gauges are cut individually -- they're seperate, you place them over the corresponding gauge one-at-a-time. so, just cuz they're in the wrong order in the photo doesn't mean that they're stuck like that.

however, if you're trying to sell them, at least photograph them laid out correctly so you don't make yourself look like an idiot!

anyways, if you DID buy them and have an automatic, you're fine. but, if you ordered them and have a manual, your tach's gonna be messed up (unless you wanna take your sharpie marker and add a "9" and "10" so you can rev that much farther.. lol...)

EDIT: in addition to "unitedindiglo", other ebay sellers trying to sell these crappy gauges are "csparts" and "hondamotorsports".

here's what the manual indiglos are supposed to look like: notice the position of the 8000-RPM marker.
