short shifter

have an 05 vp coupe



im going to be doing a K20a swap in the near future....
if i wanna install a short shifter... should i wait until i get the swap done??

or will it not matter if i do it now or later.....?????

yes you have to wait, because your going to be using a diffrent tranny.

well you can buy the short DC Sports one, It works on the 5spd and 6. I had that before and just moved it over. As long as your not geting like the full revo or buddy club you'll be alright.

I'm not positive but pretty sure you can uses the same shifter for 5 or 6 speeds.

According to the store on clubrsx the revo can be used for the base rsx & type s. So that shows that you can use the same shifter for either 5 or 6 speed. In fact I am almost positive that I once read someone on here was using the adjustable version for the RSX in their civic.
