Bored throttle body

I need more info on this mod.

Is it worth it? (I only found some thread from gearbox saying that it was good, then that it **** up his car, then that it was maybe not due to that... ) So it's not clear for me if it is a good mod or not!

What is the stock size of the throttle body? What is the size of the intake manifold (I guess best gain are when IM and TB match!) ?

BTW, I have a 5 speed d17a1 without any engine mod (except a AEM V2 for sound...)

Its a good mod. I did mine fromt the same place gearbox did and mine is gret. I have better accerlation. It might kill my gas mileage a little but its worth it. Trust me its worth it.

Any other member with this mod, had this problem?

Maybe it's just a automatic transmission problem?

BTW gearbox, I read somewhere that you had to shave some of the rubber on the OEM intake when using the bored TB... I don't get it... we are only increasing the ID of the TB... The OD should stay the same. Maybe I did not understand correctly...

no you shave the inside, otherwise the oem rubber blocks airflow. you'll see when installing it.
