underdrive pulleys, are they worth it?
underdrive pulleys, are they worth it?
hey yall,
I've posted this question on a couple other car sites and gotten mixed reviews, so since I drive a 7thgen I will ask the 7thgen crowd.
I have an 04 LX (D17A1), I have a cold air intake, and cat back exhaust, I wanna know, is it worth it to buy some AEM underdrive pulleys. I know I wont get much more power, but I wanna know will I get anymore at all?
what are the pro's and con's (if any).
And please no "swap the engine, big turbo" comments.........money is the issue, savin up for a house and just using my left over spending money on the car.
Thanks in advanced.

$ wise, not the best mod. In theory, there should be gains..... I read a mag do a dyno with these on an Accord and gains were shown.... I had them, and didnt have any problems with them (had no ICE, aside from OE CD player) but I would say a good amount of members have some trouble with the alternator afterward. Didnt real power loss or gain.
