stuck front bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Guys/gals,
I really need your help. I read the DIY on clearing my corner lens on my front head lamp I got as far as undoin the screws underneath the car and the screws on either side of the wheel well. My problem is that I can't pull off the bumper.
I'm affraid that I might break something and I don't have the money for a new bumper. Does anyone have any pointer on how to pull the sucker off?
Thanks,
Gotpho

iono tho man.. if you're having alot of trouble.. might wanna get someone else to do it.

my god... I have taken that front bumper off so much, I'm surprised the thing still stays on!
heres the check list:
-4 plastic plugs under the hood
-2 screws in wheel well
-2 screws under car
-6 plastic plugs under car
You'll see 4 right away, the last 2 are at the very sides of the bumper, holding on the rubber air dam at the very ends.
(They can be a bitch to pop out sometimes)
You can pull the bumper off by yourself, just pull out on each side of the bumper, then grab onto the upper grill and pull straight out.

i thought i was gonna break mine too but it turned out okay. i did both sides starting at the wheel well, and got it out past the headlight. i left the back clips on the bottom on to catch it since i was doing it myself (plus i had a mat under it so it wouldnt get scratched up if it did fall) i didnt leave those clips in on purpose though, they werent listed in the DIY (either that or i missed a page)

yah i had the same prob wit my car, even too this day i still cant take it off, too scared that ill mess something up.
But to all of u that cleared the corner lights how long did it take u, and was it really tough
Bc i read the diy and it seemed pretty complicated and messy
One more thing how much would it cost to replace the light if u did mess up

I just checked yesterday about a new headlight from the dealer..
$209 without tax.
I think you can get it cheaper off the internet. I saw it for $130. I forgot where, though!
That front bumper is plastic and rubber... you ain't going to hurt a thing, except your feelings...
And don't forget, you got 6 plastic plugs to take out from the bottom... the 2 hardest are at the far ends.
clearing the lights... I took my time and it consumed most of an entire day. Then I didn't seal them up good 'nuf and the next day was taken up by spliting them apart again, cleaning off the old sealent, and putting on the new stuff.
So when you got a weekend w/ nothing planed, do it!
It's way worth the work
