be brave and do it your self...
just give your self a weekend to do it. just in case you have to take them apart again and redo them.
Just take this advise:
Once all the clips are off, take a small flat screw driver and slowly pry the lense away from the back.
If you are care full about it, the black stuff won't be a problem.
To do things right, take your time and clean out all the black stuff. Scrape it all out of the groove and off the clear lense. Might want to wear some latex gloves while doing that.
then put a bead of sealent in the groove, put the pieces together, and put a generous amount of sealent all around the edges.
A good way to test for leaks after it has dried:
Get a shopvac or something like the sort that has an exhust port and hose. Take out the main head light, put the rubber seal back on, and put the hose up to the hole and blow air into the unit. (Make sure the air is clean first).
Now take a solution of soap and water (2part water - 1part soap) and slowly apply it to the sealed edges.
What will happen, with the pressure inside the headlight, any air escaping will start to blow bubbles at any hole in the seal.
Have fun!
