tranny swap?

hey guys i was wondering if anyones done an auto to manual swap in their em2. im assuming you need to swap the motor too. how much $$$ am i looking at and is it a possible diy?

Why in the world would you need to swap your motor? lol. Your insane. all you need is a tranny, Clutch, Pressure plate, Throw out barring, Slave cylinder peddles, Shifter linkage, and some time *not to mention some little parts* and you can get er done lol. I think you need a new ecu as well dont quote me on that. do a search i think i saw someone who did it on here

Hey guys, lets cut him some slack, hes a n00bie....lol. Welcome to 7thgen eugthebear.

You dont need to swap your motor when swapping in a manual transmission. All you need is a manual tranny, shifter assembly and linkages, clutch and brake pedal, manual started, manual ECU and harness, clutch reservoir, lines and slave cylinder and you are set.

Im in the process of doing mine, but ive held off cause of skool.
