Torque Wrench Extension for Strut Top Nut...

I need to torque the top nut on my shocks and struts but you have hold the shaft in place using an allen wrench. What type of extension would be the right one to use in the situation?

Thaks for any help you can give.

Just stick the allen wrench in and tighten the bolt w/ a wrench, use a little locktite and make sure its snug + a little. Too much and the allen hex strips. Don't go that far.

you don't. Its also not critical. Its not a rod bolt or something, its just a retaining nut. Make sure its not loose, and its too tight when you strip the allen head. 33 lb ft is nothing, its not a crank job, just make the nut snug so it won't back off.
Just snug it + an extra tug.
Your alternative it to get somesort of crow's foot socket (looks like a standard crescent wrench) and attach it to your torque wrench, it lets you hold the allen because it doesn't cover up the nut, but they're expensive and its entirely unnecessary.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure that something wasn't going to come undone at highway speeds. Riding around town at 30mph and having your wheel come loose is not the end of the world but doing 70 and that happening is a whole other story. Thanks again for the help.
