keep in mind if you use high temp paint... you have to bake it in the oven most of the time to get the gloss effect in the paint or it will look like you painted it with chalk and it'll rub off.
It will work and might look kinda cool. I had a GSXR and the exhaust pipe was painted black. Only reason the paint came off was because the back of your foot rubbed against it when on the foot peg. Only rubbed little spot off where the foot touched it other than that it held up, I like how it was black. It was not a glossy black more of a flat black, it looked cool.

Speaking of powder coating, aluminum wheels can be right? A guy at my work says his brother just bought the machine or whatever it is to do the powdercoating but he wasnt sure if it would be cool on aluminum, I guess cause you have to heat them up. He says he would be worried about them warping, I think it would be cool I have seen all kinds of stuff powdercoated on tv. Anyways I dont know if I even want someone touching my stuff that doesnt have experience with doing this.
I dunno if powdercoating is a good idea. If you want to do it right, get it ceramic coated like headers are and stuff. If you paint it, you will probably have it chipping away and will have to repaint it but its cheap to do. I painted my HKS when I was debating selling it, but its originally black ceramic coated but the paint I painted has held up through an Ohio winter so I dunno.

I painted my stock muffler...just the part you can see from behind the car. I have a welded tip from a RSX-S on...looks sweet. First I primed it with hi-temp primer and used hi-temp gloss black...Looks great. No pics yet.
I kept the side of the muffler polished so you can see it through the back right wheel bling'n

Anyways, its under the car, that qualifies as who gives a **** terratory in my book, but BBQ paint or engine paint should work. Behind the cat doesn't get all that hot.
