Need Help Automatic Shift Knob
Need Help Automatic Shift ****
allready looked high and low for this but didnt find it. i only read sucessfull changes. I changed my shift **** for my automatic 02 lx coupe but when i turn the key off and the car is in park i cant get the key out. i have to pull the **** up abit so that the key can be unlocked. is there a way to fix this? i went to the honda dealership and they told me that i needed to ground a wire but he didnt know which. did any one have this problem and how did you fix it? if not what shift **** do you have and it works perfectly fine.

i had the same problem for about 3 minutes, until i realized that when i screwed in the shift ****, i screwed it to far pushed down and it put my car in between gears.
you cant take the key out when the car is in gear. in this case your car was in park, as so was mine. but the car thinks you are about to change into a gear.
what kind of shift ****?

LMAO the dealer said you need to ground a wire, total bullshit. like ^ said you just put the **** on too low, just raise it up and you should be good, damn thats funny
yea i bought a dojo shift ****. it was to short of a push down so i had to loosen the screw underneath to make it longer. it works fine now though and yea i did call the guy an idiot also thanks for your responses.
