DIY sidemarker install???

OK, so I was looking at the DIY for the sidemarkers and I have a little question. What are sheet metal nibblers and why do I need them to do this. I want to install sidemarkers, but I want them recessed a little like the ones on the VW's(shh...I didn't say that). Please help me out here guys. Oh yeah, and everyone in Jersey go to that meet on March 10th at Freehold mall.

a place like RadioShack sells a small nibbbler that could probly be used for eating the metal from your car body for installing sidemarkers. RadioShack.com Product Catalog: Nibbling Tool that should work well

im not sure if you would be able to recess the sidemarker...even if you could, it would be difficult i think. you could just get the really low profile sidemarkers, where the entire bulb is inside the hole you cut in the body, and just a really thin reflector/cover is raised above the surface..
