Remote starter for 5-speed???

Remote starter for 5-speed???
Anyone know a remote starter for 5-speeds. and if it is possible. I knw that shops wont install it cuase its stick and it could hurt someone. Does anyone know anyone in or near Maryland that would put one on.

i put one on my car it is a pain in the butt and yes its illeagal and for a good reason i left mine in reverse and it jumped a curb but very possible!!! If u need help i can talk u threw most of it just email me bigb191@aol.com

yes it can be done, and yet it can be safe...if it is done properly....i know several ppl that have cutom intallations where they have setup numerous swtiches and such that if the car is left in ANY gear, when you attempt to start the car it will not....
i am in the process of designing a similar system for my civic, i will let you know how it works out..

i've installed one one my car recently, upon choosing from different brands, i've ran over "viper" alarms in which it has a jumper setting for a " single start and continious start " because i have a manual tranny, i've set it up to single start so if the alarm detects that the car is on gear on the first start, it will not try to start again

I was told it could be done, but they have to either bypass your ECU or reconfigure it to trick the starter and car to believe that the clutch is down. I wouldn't do it but that is just me.
