Short Ram Intake
i know this subject has been beaten to death but i need a DIY to a short ram not a cold air intake... i get a little confused with the CAI.. really appreciated...

those are good pics, but one question.... when i remove everything..... do i have to install any of the original parts to the intakee...... like the hose and stuff???

the new intake should of came with everything needed to install it to the engine. If not, the hose that runs from the air cleaner box to the valve cover, use that on the new intake. not sure of the fittment, but thats why I say the new one should come with everything needed for installation. its a matter of connecting the pipe to the throttle body, connecting the filter and bolting it down, shouldnt need any instructions.

your intake shouldve came with a little hose that connects to the intake and there also shouldve been like a black rubber plug thing on the side of the intake that the sensor goes in, you can see the hose in the last pic that gearbox posted, its by the circle on the bottom

you just gotta swap the rubber piece and intake sensor by pulling it out of the stock airbox. Goto www.knfilters.com and look up their own instructions. i bet its similar.

see in the last picture above, look for the letter A and that is it, there should be like a little black rubber piece to the right of the hose connection part on your ram air, you have to plug it into there.

guess what???? i did all that work to find out the intake is for a SI, i was soo ****in pissed.... cause i looked at my friends SI intake it looked the same as his i was like WTF!!!!!!
