ryancivic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
nut for shift ****?

i bought a dc sports shift **** and it came with a nut. i just put on the shift **** and tightend it down and it works fine. so whats the deal with the nut and where does it go

its probably a spacer if it doesnt fit the shift rod tight enough

its a jam nut.
Put the nut on, spin it all the way to the bottom, then thread on the ****, take a wrench and back up the nut until its tight against the ****. It just keeps the **** from spinning off inadvertently.
