Mine is so loud, I got 2.25 cat-back and a chrome pipe that ends with 3 inches. I got a $100 ticket by the cops. I am putting back a regular but bigger muffler.

Mwwhonda, dude, I can only imagine how loud that would be. hehe. imagine if you took the cat off too. that would be bad. I prefer a nice quiet noise coming from my car.

I replaced my mid-pipe to 2 1/4 with no resonator and replaced muffler with 4" tip (lol) and it has a nice deep sound... luvin' it!!!! It sounds nice from the inside of the car and even better from the outside... Power gain on high end, like on 4500 rpm and it's very noticeable!! Sounds nicer too when VTEC kicks in!!!

I had 2.25" pipe used to replace my stock exhaust. Starting at the header, the pipe runs back to my Powertone muffler that has a 4" tip on it. my civic is an LX so my cat is on the headers. but just with the larger exhuast pipe i noticed a mild increase in high rpm horsepower. originally, when i first bought the car, i put just the tip (the powertone muffler) on. THEN , after seeing the error in my decision, i made the upgrade to a larger exhuast pipe. It has a real loud and deep sound that you can feel when your inside the car.
