EX head and ECU

If you were to take an EX head and an ECU and put them on the LX is there ne thing more that you would have to do in order for the vtec to work. and does the ECU store the mileage. or does the guages in the dash do that. if there is ne thing more that one would have to do for the vtec to work what would that be.

The question is...would it work. if its cheap and its JUST for vtec then there aint a prob. i just want to know if there is ne thing else that would need to be done in order for it to work.

yep you would need a vtec cam along w/ an oil line that goes to the head in order for the pin to lock into the bigger lobe on the cam and rocker arm engaging vtec

Everything to do with the cam is in the EX head already. If you get a hold of the EX head, then you don't need the cam. Another thing you need is the VTEC solenoid. ECU/Odometer question, I have no clue about that. I guess you could experiment if you have a friend that has a 2k1/2 and swap gauge clusters and see if your mileage readings change before/after...

i think you have to make sure that the head of the ex matches the block on the lx too...some of the holes might be positioned differently
