help, cam won't come off

how does the cam pull off the head? I have it sitting here and it won't budge. I loosened all the valve adjusting screws (except two that are loose but the rocker is still tight). And also the other camshaft holder bolts are loose. The cam gear is still on. That cap on the other side is off. Now what? It won't pull off/

I've never actually pulled one off, but for some reason, I wanna say it has to come up and out (towards where the cam gear would go), don't ask me why I just said that, just a weird feeling I had.

you've removed all the bolts on the top including the 2 on each side. if all is loose then you should be able to pop it off with a flathead.. you have to remove them to pull the rocker arm assembly off.

just make sure that all of the bolts on the caps are completely loose. give the caps a light tapping with a rubber/plastic hammer to loosen them up. then the whole rocker/cam cap assy will come straight up. make sure not to let anything slide off. take it off as an assembly.

ya i know but not happening. ALL bolts are loose and still on, I hit it with mallet and it is stuck. The rocker assembly won't lift off. also the adjusting screws are loose except for 2. i undid them until it wouldn't turn anymore but there's still some pressure.

kileryoyo is an unknown quantity at this point
When I diassembled my new head to put on my new cam I had the same problem you are. I had some silcone? sealer around the edges of wher ehte rocker assembly and the head meet. It took a bit of prying to seperate the assembly and the head to take out the cam.
