WARNING MAGNAFLOW
i juss got my magnaflow catbak for LX sedan installed today....One problem creeking sound is due to larger pipes the pipe will vibrate and hits the stablizer bar (sway bar).we cure dis problem by sticking a rubber and taping around the stablizer between it. hahaha LOL The other plan was to dent up the pipe so it wont hit. i know dat rubber is not goin to stick forever there so i guess i have to dent a lump on the pipes. Well so far the exhaust is great not loud at all and annoying
Seems like a lot of people have had problems like that with the Magnaflow and the TCS, has anyone had problems with the Greddy EVO ?
I am getting mine put on this weekend and would like to know...?? Thanks !!

i had the same problem with the thermal! What i did is spread apart the two hooks where the rubber hangars are or cut and rebend them or take a hammer and beat up on the body mounts for rubber hangers! Thatll probably give you enough clearance! But dont go too high or youll melt the bumper!
I have a Magnaflow on my EX coupe, but no problems at all. Is the problem just confine to LX, sedans, lowered cars, or what? Hey CivicVtec, you have just the muffler only, so i guess it's this question doesn't apply to you.
Well, that sucks maybe they install your exhaust wrong! I have a magnaflow, and it doesn't rattle, and your right its not very loud but its got a nice deep tone to it once it warms up! And trust me it louder than it sounds cuz all da sound is behind da car instead of in da car! I like it cuz it adds performance without making it sound like a ATV or a dirt bike! Sounds really cool when I rev it in parking strucktures or under overpasses! Sounds almost like da cars from fast and da furious! HAHA! And one more pro to dis exhaust, you dont have worry about da cops pullin you over for makin noise!

Ionays, Mine is doing the exact same thing. Wednesday, I am gonna beat it with a hammer. Nothing a hammer can't fix!! I even moved around the rubber hangers to see if there was a difference. I got it as good as I could. Well, when I install the new HP header, this section of the pipe will be the header, so it only temporary!

If you look at some of the responses, some people seem to have problems, others don't...I've seen many 2k1 installs on all models some lowered others stock, <font color=white style="background-color: 3E3E3E;">never</font ft> seen a rubbing problem anywhere on the system...These are probably the easiest to install of all our systems... If the system was purchased from me, please call and I'll arrange for your nearest professional installer to see what the problem may be, I'll need your Zip code/Postal Code, if you've purchased elsewhere, contact the seller or call Magnaflow directly...The systems are warranteed for life, any problems directly related to the system are dealt with on an immediate basis....

I don't see a significant change in my mpg. Right now I have a converted AEM short ram from a CAI, along with my Magnaflow and I got nearly 400 miles on a tank on a recent snowboarding trip driving up mountains in 3rd and 4th gear! I get a little over 300 miles on a tank in the city, driving aggressively of course.
I just took mine back to the shop for the rattling, there was someone there that was really knowledgeable about exhuast, he told me and the the shop owner that the exhust pipe that comes down from the Cat. coverter is a double wall system to keep down the heat, well most people that intall exhust cut the pipe right where it bends to make the angle toward the back of the car, and install a new mid pipe. Well what they dont do is weld the 2 pipes together, so basically that inner pipe is just sittin' inside rattling around and causes noise that could be mis-diagosed as a rubbing, so make sure you have your 2 pipes welded together, all my noises have stopped now and sounds nice
