i got an lx/dx ecu with the key for it so you won't need a reflash. sounds liek a vtec problem.

you my friend are correct!

i wouldnt drive your car like this, this can just mess up your motor, since your not running the right ecu for it.

yeah think about it. ECU waiting for signal that VTEC is engaged.. but never gets it. So ECU says "Somethings wrong!" and stops it there. up until VTEC engaging, or beginning to, the engine is running fine. After that point the ECU is protecting the engine, because it thinks that you have a VTEC head thats malfunctioning somewhere.

I also think that is obviously an ECU sygnal problem caused by vtec - nonvtec engine difference...

xproductionz is just really nicexproductionz is just really nicexproductionz is just really nicexproductionz is just really nice
there is a vtec controller that does that but its useless if you car aint running right to begin with.... it only works as a bypass if you have a dx/lx ecu running an ex motor.. then you can use the controller to control it like that also

Stupid question but why would you replace a EX engine with a DX.

DX has less hp than EX
DX has no VTec
DX = slower

Just curious.
