grinded 3rd

Ok i was going bout 40-45 going toward a corner, road was clear and everything....clutch in, and accidently didn't rev high enough, grinded third.....this is the first time ive grinded, will it cause any problems in the future?...what really happens when u grind? thanks

Gear teeth don't mesh and you mash up the edges of the teeth. Once, I wouldn't worry. I've missed a few times. it happens. its not like the tranny will fall apart, its got some room for mistakes to happen. your tranny fluid will have a few extra metal shavings in it.

it's all good; if i do grind it's sometimes when i'm in a hurry putting the car in reverse without pushing the clutch all the way down; almost everyone grinds their car at least once in a lifetime, heh

I grinded my 2nd gear like 3 times in the 3 months that I have my car, for some odd reason it felt like it was in but wasnt.

won't really hurt anything, as long as its not an everyday occourance. one time i was raceing and i let the clutch out a little to soon and didn't full grab and had to slam it into 3rd with a bit of grind.
