please help me! the handle on my driver side front door has cracked and is about to break off. My fiancee can't get it out. anybody know how to remove it? It's a 2001 civic ex sedan.

I need to replace the handle you use to open the door from the outside of the car. I'm not using the passengers' side climbing over the e-brake is a b*. So if anybody has a DIY for this please help.

its not that hard, i havent done it on a 7th gen but i did it on a 6th gen. take the door panel off on the inside, should only be like 3 bolts and then it just clips on. then peel back the plastic on the door. then you will see metal rods going around in there, (oh btw make sure the window is up) one will go up to the handle. on that handle there is a plastic peice the rod is in which connects to a arm on the handle, just pry that off, there there is 2 bolts i beleive holding it on and handle should just fall out.. lol. not the best description but if you look at the inside of the door you will see what im talkin about lol.

i'm sure you've takin out the 2 bolts holding it on and you the locking mechanisim is stuck and ur forced to yell, throw, hit, ****, and masterbate on it, when your dont ranting at it, there is a "C" clip that holds then mechanisim on, it's right behind the lock and is actually part of the door handle

i'd say so, u might be able to paint it yourself, just like how eveyone paints their m3 mirrors.
