compression, cam timing, octane?
I'm confused about how these are related. I've searched but can't really find anything absolute. Are there any rules as to what deternimes it? My setup is milled head (more compression, maybe 160-180psi instead of 135psi), cam timing advanced 2 degrees. I'm using 89 octane. I'm not sure if the advance timing means I should go 92 octane, or is that too much. also i think i might be running a bit lean, but i just need a dyno for that. how can i figure out what kind of gas and basically how to tune my setup?
I'll flip out and kill people.

http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html - compression ratio, if you know your measurements
Regular (87 AKI): 8:1
Mid-Grade (89 AKI): 9:1
Premium (93 AKI): 10:1
^ i've seen this rough estimate before for determing octane by means of compression ratio, but it depends on more factors to be precise
