The noise from the engine compartment after shutdown.

This sound has always been in every car I have driven, but I never got the change to ask anybody. That's what's great about online forums.

Anyways, it the clicking and tapping noises after shutdown. I believe that to be joint contraction noises due to cooling down. And I correct?

i always thought it was oil or something dripping down from the gear or some sort of liquid
