Well, I believe they are the same type of sensor but their harnesses are different. Did you cut the harnesses and rewire or did you just pull the secondary sensor and screw it into the primary sensor bung?

Did you spray lube on the sensor before you tried to remove it?

They are the same price on Majestic Honda's website but have different part numbers. (Illustration # 018 and 019)

I can't tell if he's talking about the ex setup which was the primary up front and the secondary in the cat. if thats the case then no they are not the same "system" but they are the same actually o2 sensor. Hence why you can sim the secondary but not the primary

His profile says he has an 03 EX. Don't drive without a primary O2 sensor. I'm surprised you don't have a CEL yet. Or you can just pull your MAP sensor and IAT sensor. Your ECU would really like that. (Just kidding, don't do that)

heres wut i did...after taking the stock catalyst off...i tried takign th eprimary off..but it was stuck ont here good...and yes i tried usign lube onit..that thing is stuck on there like a fat kid holding on a cake... so i went to the rear and took that off and placed it on the primary(wires uncut)....then!=D i thought of an idea...i cut the wire off the stock catalyst primary sensor that i couldnt get off and went under my friends 95 nissan quest and took the oxygen sensor off that and connected the wires from the primary civic and the nissan quest and placed it in the rear..now tell me..

question 1) do i have to take the rear off my primary and place it back on my rear and buy a new primary???

question 2) leave the rear sensor i put on the primary and order another rear sensor for the rear???

Were you installing this into a turbo DP? If you're not running a cat I don't think it matters too much what order they're in. Personally, I would keep them in order so I didn't forget when I went to reinstall the stock hardware.

In that link I gave you, both sensors were the same price so you might as well buy the one you need.

Q1.. Yes.
Q2.. No.
The primary sensor reads your air/fuel mixture. Needs to stay put!
The secondary reads the catalytic converters effectiveness, they read two totally different things. They are not interchangeable (I have tried, lol.), and doing so can freak the ecu out and drop your speedo or short something in a heart beat.
I'm up to about 400+ on repair the bs job 2 other shops did, now I'm off to a 4th shop to have the wiring tested since we think they wired the o2 extensions wrong, and now my alternator doesn't work, speedo, gas, batt and temp gauges don't work.. fun **** bro.

Get an o2 long enough, test the length first of course to make sure you don't need it.
Or have a reputable guy do extend it... be careful, hondas love to mess up when the o2 sensors flake...
