well pull ou the relay that you circles and test it. Apply 12 volts to pins 3 and 4, and there should be continuity between pins 1 and 2. there should be no continuity between 1 and 2 with power removed from 3 and 4.

Do you here a click inside the car when quiet while turning on the parking lights ??

The taillight relay is the one closest to the center and closest to the fuses (on the under dash box)

What year is the car and is it a coupe or sedan ??

You would need to test the relay as mentioned or check for voltage present from the switching side of it.

Do you have access to a VOM ? (multimeter) or a 12 Volt test lamp ?

The constant 12 Volt input to the relay is on the white/green wire. (should have 12 Volts at all times)

The switched voltage out to the lamps is a red/yellow wire (should have voltage when the parking lights or headlights are on)

PM with E-Mail and I will send you the info I have, I will try to stop by the library today and print out for the 01, but this info should be correct.

EDIT: I have the schematic for the 01 wiring if you need it PM

The white/green wire will be part of the wires leading to the under dash fuse box, that is where the taillight relay is.

No, use the meter probe to pierce insulation. Or use a razor blade and slice off a small sliver of insulation. Cover with black tape.
